Ask Nest Learn anything. Then sort it in the same chat.

Nest Learn is training management software for UK children's homes, and the first and only children's care training platform with an official ChatGPT plugin. Ask in plain English who's overdue, what's expiring or who changed a record, then assign or book the training in the same conversation.

How it works

Ask, check, confirm

A change usually takes three steps. Nest Learn won't save a change without a matching preview, so you can check the details first.

  1. 01

    Ask in plain English

Use names, not record numbers. Answers come from the same live records you see in Nest Learn, so there's nothing to export first.

  2. 02

    Check the preview

Before anything changes, Nest Learn shows exactly who and what it affects, the dates, and any emails it may send.

  3. 03

    Confirm, and it's done

The change is saved in Nest Learn with your login. If you change any details, it previews again first.

Real moments

Questions from a manager's week

Six everyday situations in a children's home, each starting with one question.

Inspection day

The inspector asks where training stands

Show overdue and expired training across my Homes, grouped by Home.
Checked the Training Matrix

You get the answer in seconds from the live records, and the evidence behind each one is a click away in Nest Learn, so you can check names and dates before you share it.

New starter

Someone starts on Monday

Set up Jordan Reid at Oakvale as a support worker, then preview the induction Learning Path for them.
Previewed the induction Learning Path

Nest Learn creates their login, then shows the courses and deadlines before you assign them.

Friday check

You want to know what changed this week

What changed in training records this week, and who changed it?
Searched the audit log

It searches the audit log for your Homes and shows the recorded changes, with who made each one and when.

After a session

The trainer has just left

Mark everyone on Thursday's Safer Caring as attended, except Ravi Singh, who didn't come.
Previewed attendance

Attendance for the whole session is recorded in one go, and you see the list before it's saved.

Renewals

Training is about to run out

Which training expires before Christmas? Assign the renewals with a 30-day deadline.
Previewed renewals

It finds what's expiring, then previews the assignments, deadlines and emails before anything is saved.

Review time

Your Regulation 45 review is due

Summarise training at Riverside over the last six months, then draft it as a paragraph for my Regulation 45 review.
Pulled completions for Riverside

Nest Learn supplies the live figures and ChatGPT drafts the paragraph, ready for you to check and edit.

Examples only. Staff and Homes are fictional.

Audit by asking

Audit your training records in a conversation

Ask who did what, when and why, and get the answer from the records themselves. It's the check you'd run before a Regulation 44 visit, without the afternoon it usually takes.

  • Search the audit log by person, type of record or date
  • See every version of a completion's evidence, earlier ones included
  • Find who replaced or removed a certificate, and the reason they gave
  • Read a staff member's training history in date order
  • Check a session's history and attendance notes

What it can do

More than 90 manager tasks, in one chat

Most of what a manager does in Nest Learn day to day can start in ChatGPT, from finding gaps to recording attendance.

01

Find the gaps

Dashboard priorities, the Training Matrix, overdue and expiring training, who still needs a session booked, and training suggestions for new starters.

02

Assign training

Courses and Learning Paths for one person or a whole team, with deadlines. Remove an assignment or close a Learning Path when plans change.

03

Run face-to-face training

Schedule sessions across Homes, book or remove staff, record attendance and outcomes, correct them later and add notes.

04

Keep records right

Record training done elsewhere, confirm completions and void a wrong record with a reason.

05

Look after your team

Add front-line staff, move them between Homes, update job roles and start dates, and mark leavers.

06

Shape your training

Build and edit Learning Paths, add your own face-to-face or external courses, set how long training stays valid, and choose what the Matrix shows.

Provider Senior Managers can also manage manager access and work through the Register. What each person can do follows their role in Nest Learn.

Safe by design

Safeguards built into Nest Learn

Nest Learn checks your role and requires a matching preview itself, so those rules apply to every request ChatGPT makes, whatever its settings.

  1. You askIn plain English
  2. Nest Learn checks your roleOn every request
  3. You see a previewWho and what it affects
  4. You check itOr change the details
  5. Saved in Nest LearnWith your login

Your own login

You sign in on the Nest Learn page and allow access. Passwords never go into the chat.

No extra permissions

It can only see and do what your Nest Learn role allows, and that's checked again on every request.

Your Homes and bank staff

Home Managers see the Homes they look after, plus your bank staff. Managers who work for more than one provider see one at a time, never mixed.

A preview before every change

Nest Learn won't save a change that doesn't match its preview, and a preview expires after five minutes.

No signing off your own training

A manager's own attendance or completion has to be recorded by another manager.

Corrections keep their history

Fixing a record adds a new version showing who changed it and why. The earlier version stays.

Risk down

Earlier

warning, before small gaps become findings

  • Spot expiring training before it lapses
  • Answer an inspector from live records
  • See exactly who a change affects before it's made
  • Find who changed a record, and why, in one question
  • An assistant that can never do more than the manager using it

Why it's different

How it compares

Most training platforms stop at a course library and a report. Nest Learn is the first and only one in children's care you can talk to.

Nest Learn in ChatGPT has given our senior managers a huge advantage. We can audit training quickly and see straight away what to prioritise. No other training provider we found could combine the power of AI with everything Nest Learn already does. I have far more visibility of training than I ever had with other providers or spreadsheets. For managing training compliance in a children's home, it's an absolute game changer.

Common questions

Questions about Nest Learn in ChatGPT

For connecting and disconnecting step by step, see the setup guide.

Does ChatGPT change our records by itself?

No. It acts only when you ask, using your own Nest Learn login. Before a change is saved, Nest Learn requires a matching preview of exactly who and what it affects. To check it yourself first, ask ChatGPT to stop after the preview. If you only want to look, say "don't change anything".

What does ChatGPT see?

The answers to the questions you ask, limited to what your Nest Learn login can see. Nest Learn holds staff training records, not children's records. Use a ChatGPT account your organisation has approved for work, and follow your own data protection policy.

Who can use it?

Home Managers and Provider Senior Managers with a Nest Learn login. Home Managers work within the Homes they look after; senior managers can work across the provider. Staff accounts can't connect, and don't need to.

What stays in the Nest Learn app?

Uploading and downloading certificates, password resets, tablet pairing codes and launching online courses. You can still remove a wrong certificate from a record through ChatGPT.

How do we disconnect it?

Disconnect Nest Learn in ChatGPT's connection settings. Uninstalling the plugin on its own may leave the connection active, and signing out of Nest Learn in your browser doesn't disconnect ChatGPT. The setup guide shows where to look.

See it for yourself

Ask it the questions you'd ask about your Homes

In a 30-minute demo we'll put your real questions to Nest Learn in ChatGPT, using a demo team, and show you the answers and the previews.
