Who to ask
If you are a member of staff, please ask your manager first about your courses, due dates or signing in. They can contact us if they need to.
Provider Senior Managers and Home Managers can email us about anything in Nest Learn, from signing in to staff records, Courses, Learning Paths, face-to-face Sessions and the Training Matrix.
The Nest Learn app in ChatGPT
Provider Senior Managers and Home Managers can use the Nest Learn app to look up staff training and make training changes from ChatGPT. It is only for managers who already have a Nest Learn account, and it is only available in the UK.
To connect, sign in with your normal Nest Learn login when ChatGPT asks, then approve the connection. The app never shows or asks for your password or other login details in the chat. If a chat ever asks you for them, do not type them in, and please tell us.
The app can show you:
- Staff names, Homes, job roles, Bank status, and start and leaving dates.
- Courses, Learning Paths, assignments, and due and expiry dates.
- Completions, and face-to-face Session bookings and attendance.
- Training Matrix and Dashboard summaries, and related history.
It can also make training changes you could already make in Nest Learn. You see a preview first, and nothing changes until you approve it in ChatGPT.
The app does not upload or download certificate files, and it does not run online courses. Use Nest Learn for those.
Your access and disconnecting
The app always follows your current role and Homes in Nest Learn, so it shows the same staff and Homes you can see there. If your access changes, the app follows it. If your access is removed, the app stops working for you straight away.
You can disconnect the Nest Learn app at any time in ChatGPT.
If something looks wrong
- If the app cannot find staff or Homes you expect to see, email us and we will check your access.
- If a change made through ChatGPT looks wrong, email us with what changed and roughly when. You can also correct it in Nest Learn in the usual way.
- ChatGPT's replies are written by an AI model and can be wrong. Check anything important in Nest Learn before you rely on it.
Privacy and security
When you use the Nest Learn app, the information it returns is sent to OpenAI and shown in your ChatGPT conversation. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information in Nest Learn and in the app, and our terms of use cover using it.
