Safeguarding & Child Protection
Designated Safeguarding Lead
As Designated Safeguarding Lead or deputy, you are the first point of contact for every child protection concern raised in the home — and the person responsible for whether the rest of the team gets it right. This course goes well beyond awareness level, covering the legislation, the referral routes, and the practical work of building a culture where concerns actually surface.
Case studies including Arthur Labinjo-Hughes, Star Hobson, William Vahey and Telford are used to examine what goes wrong and why.
